Workshop on QoE-Aware Resource Allocation for Multimedia Communications (QoE-RAMC 2017)

With the exponential growth of the mobile multimedia applications, e.g., Live Mobile Video, 3D Video Stream, etc., the envisioned 5G wireless and mobile communication systems should provide an appropriate level of quality of experience (QoE) for heterogeneous services. Moreover, the huge amount of multimedia traffic has also posed great pressure on the resource-constrained wireless networks. Currently, it is not clear to what degree the existing QoS-based resource allocations are efficient in terms of the perceived improvement and experience from the user’s perspective. Therefore, novel design of resource allocation mechanism is especially important for future wireless network based on the QoE index, which also will make a better use of the available resources.

The workshop on QoE-RAMC will be held in Chongqing, China, as a part of 10th EAI International Conference on Mobile Multimedia Communications. This workshop aims to bring together the state-of-the-art and in-progress research contributions on QoE-aware resource allocation concerning multimedia communications and services. It seeks high quality submissions in both theoretical and practical research.


Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
